Download a versioned zipcodeR data bundle

Downloads one explicitly requested data release, verifies its checksum, and caches it in the user's data directory. The function never resolves aliases such as "latest", and no lookup function downloads data implicitly.

download_zip_data_bundle(version, force = FALSE)

Arguments

version

Exact registered data version, for example "2026.08".

force

Re-download and replace a verified cached copy.

Value

A validated zipcodeR_data_bundle.
